Payment

No, we do not charge any extra fees. The listed price is the price you pay. Including tax.

As undesirable and remote as it may seem at the time of booking, trip cancellation is a fact of life. If through circumstances beyond your control your booking may be covered by your trip insurance. Please do not overlook insurance coverage to help ameliorate cancellation penalities.

Of course. All funds payable to D-Day Air Tours will be held in a Trustee Account and cannot be released to the company until after the tour has been completed.

Preparation

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and you want to make the best of it. Do bring your camera, but please do not try to record your guide whilst he or she is presenting a site. Remember, all guides have their “secret” knowledge of sites

D-Day Air Tours has considerable experience in conducting private single day tours to the Normandy Landing Beaches from the UK.

We have recognised that a significant number of American visitors, especially to London, England wish to see the Beaches, but public transport into the area is neither swift nor easy. The only way to experience the Beaches in these circumstances is by executive limousine transfer from London (or other areas by appointment) to Lydd airport where a private plane awaits your arrival for a 50 minute transfer to Caen, Normandy.

You will then have a 6 hour tour conducted by a senior guide from The Bayeux Shuttle, a leading guide company of the principal sites in the US Landing Sector, and return to the UK by the same route.

Normandy weather is famously unpredictable. It can be cool and wet, or sunny and dry. Always bring light, waterproof, windproof clothing and sensible footwear. A small foldable umbrella tucked into a side pocket is always a good idea.

Tour Details

A London hotel collection will be between 06.30am and 07.00am depending upon the day of the week, and you will be returned to the hotel by approximately 7.00pm. A relaxing dinner with lots to reflect upon is recommended, accompanied, perhaps, with a nice glass of wine.

A light lunch with refreshments will be provided by The Bayeux Shuttle. You will be able to pre-select your choice of a filled baguette fresh from the bakery with the usual light accompaniments of mineral water, chips, soda, fruit and a piece of cake.
